Your new role

As the ICT Manager you will be responsible to pro-actively deal and manage the IT business area. The role will be to plan, direct, coordinate and design ICT-related activities and will be the key liaison point for Autism SA’s outsourced IT services providers.

The ICT Manager will manage and balance the expectations of the business within the framework of staff and resource limitations. The ICT manager will keep abreast of latest technologies that may be of benefit to the organisation and make requisite recommendations, supported by business cases.

The ICT manager will provide leadership to ICT operations and infrastructure ensuring that an appropriate technical support framework is in place, including the management and delivery of service support and service delivery.

The ICT manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. As well as these responsibilities that ICT manager will define and implement ICT policies, procedures, and best practices.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of three years systems administration experience
  • Experience in advanced systems support, administration, implementation and maintenance
  • Experience in trouble-shooting and supporting Microsoft desktop and laptop systems and mobile devices and wireless access points
  • Experience in business systems, information and communications technology environments including working with contracted managed services
  • Ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work and establish the most appropriate operational methods for the organisation
  • Ability to deal well with pressure and continual change and to meet deadlines without sacrificing professional standards
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills with the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of people
