Volunteer FSG Program

Autism SA is looking for someone interested in giving some of their time to volunteer with our Foundation Skills Group (FSG) based in Salisbury East. FSG is Foundation Skills Group is an early intervention program for children aged between 3 and 5 years old.

We are the leading provider of specialised services to people with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the State and our national networks ensure an ongoing commitment to specialised services and resources across Australia.

Volunteering with Autism SA is a fun and rewarding way to make a real difference in the lives of those living with autism. It is a great way to add to your resume and give back to the community.

You can donate your time and skills to support Foundation Skills Group and tasks may include:

  • Developing resources including creating visuals, preparing therapy and craft activities
  • Facilitate play
  • Support children in following daily classroom routines
  • Provide support to therapists in learning groups
  • Cleaning tasks including washing toys and organising supplies
  • General administrative tasks

A placement opportunity for 2019 would also be considered for the right candidate (Disability and Developmental Education Students).

Please note that all volunteers must obtain a satisfactory DCSI child related screening check and undertake a Criminal History Assessment (at no cost to volunteers) before commencing.
